DENIS RONDEAU 1956 - 2014 It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden passing of our beloved husband, father, grandfather, son, brother and uncle, Denis Rondeau. Denis met the love of his life, Nicole (nee Labossiere) in Somerset, Manitoba. After a brief courtship they were married. In the 38 years that followed Denis and Nicole were blessed with four beautiful children; Nicholas (Jessica), Joshua, Jonathan and Devon (Tyler Downey) and one Grandchild, Liam, whom he cherished. Denis' working life started in the fields on the family farm. A short time later, in 1987, he joined the RCMP. He spent 26 years serving and protecting at his various detachments and became a well respected sergeant by the time of his retirement in 2013. As well as his wife and kids, Denis will lovingly be remembered by his mother, Edith, brothers Gilles (Janine) and Richard (Ilona), sisters Yolande (Michael McCannell) and Annette (Daniel Dion) and many nieces, nephews and in-laws. He was predeceased by his father, Raymond. Denis will be fondly remembered for his love of hunting, the Montreal Canadiens and being mr. fix-it, which was greatly appreciated by many. Until we meet again Denis, "hakuna matata". You will never be far from our hearts. A celebration of Denis' life will be held at St. Leon Roman Catholic Church, St. Leon, Manitoba at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, January 14, 2015. A reception will follow at St. Leon hall. In lieu of flowers, a donation can be made to The Heart and Stroke Foundation.

To Denis's family, my sincere condolences. I was saddened to hear of Denis's passing. I met Denis 4 years ago while working a desk at the Winnipeg RCMP Headquarters. I never actually met Denis face to face in all of that time, but we enjoyed many conversations regarding work related issues at his various detachments. Denis always made me laugh and when he required my assistance, it was always a pleasure to do so. Denis was the kind of Sargent I would have been happy to serve with, if I had been given the opportunity. He will be missed. - Posted by: Terry Aselton (Co-worker in the RCMP - Constable, Criminal Operations) on: Jan 05, 2015
