JANINE (JEANNINE) BLANCHE CHENIER October 25, 1945 - December 26, 2014 On December 26, with family by her side, Janine's spirit was set free. She touched many people with her strong faith and positive outlook on life. She is loved by many including her brothers and sisters, Denis (Michelle Valmont), Pierre (Doris Flaxman), Suzanne (John McKenzie), Michelle (Ray Perreault), Jacques (Roberta Wiebe). She was also admired by many beloved nieces and nephews. She is predeceased by mother Florence (Langevin) and father Léon Chénier. Janine lived a full life. She studied towards an RN degree, was employed as a social worker and then completed her Degree at the University of North Dakota and practiced speech pathology in the St. Boniface School Division. A celebration of Janine's life is to be held at St. Timothy's Catholic Church, 135 John Forsyth Rd, Winnipeg, MB, Friday, January 9, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. Cremation has taken place and a private interment will be held at a later date. In Janine's own words, Remember me in life, joyous and positive - believing that eternity will be a blast!' In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Janine may be made to the Arthritis Society, Manitoba Region, #105-386 Broadway, Winnipeg, MB R3C 3R6.

  • I admired Janine so much for the tenacity she displayed in life, nothing held her back. I am a friend of her cousin Patricia and when I was diagnosed with osteoarthritis I thought of her and said if she can do it so can I.
