AGNES MCFARLANE March 19, 1925 - December 29, 2014 Agnes passed away peacefully surrounded by family on December 29, 2014, at Donwood Manor. Born in Dundee, Scotland, on March 19, 1925, she came to Gainsborough, Saskatchewan, as a war bride in 1946 where she became a farm wife and raised her family. Upon the death of her husband she moved into town continuing to enjoy community life and enduring friendships. In 2000 she moved into Donwood Manor, remaining active and enjoying the companionship of her Donwood family. She was predeceased by her husband Zane, son Clinton, sister Jean, brother Ron and her brothers (sisters-in-law). She is survived by her son Stanley (Linda), daughter Sandra, daughter-in-law Rhonda, nine grandchildren, thirteen great-grandchildren, sisters Vera and Moriag and several nieces and nephews. Our thanks to the Donwood Manor staff for the compassionate care mum has received over the past 15 years. Cremation has taken place. A private memorial gathering will take place at Donwood Manor on Sunday at 3:30 p.m. A memorial celebration and burial will be held at Winlaw this summer.
