HELEN MCINNES (nee STOFFER) Helen McInnes, beloved wife and mother, passed away peacefully on Friday, December 26, 2014. Left to cherish Helen's memory are her husband Jim of 46 years of marriage; son Robert; brother Mike Stoffer (Betty); brother-in-law Charles (Norma) Vincette; aunts Mary Horvath, Ann Pearson, Marj Finnson and Uncle Louis Horvath. She is also survived by Jim's siblings Ken McInnes (Maryanne), Dave McInnes (Marj), Isabelle McInnes (Mel Rogers), Elaine Jones (Wayne), Anne McInnes, Jackie Hritzuk (Wally), and Barbara Lepp (Harry); as well as by numerous nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents; sister Susan and Dori Magnusson; sister Terry Vincette; and sister-in-law Betty Bennett (Wayne). On May 18, 1931, Helen was born in Winnipeg, to Michael and Katie Stoffer, the eldest of four children. She grew up and was educated in the Geyser area close to Riverton. She moved to Winnipeg in the early 1950s and worked in the clothing industry for several years. Helen married Jim McInnes in 1968 and Rob was born in 1971. Her greatest joy was being a stay-at-home Mom for Rob. She enjoyed meeting friends for coffee and the odd game of Bingo. Helen moved into Oakview Place in March, 2013, and the family would like to thank the staff for their care and compassion shown to Helen and her family. In accordance with Helen's wishes no formal funeral will be held. A graveside service will be held at a later date. Wojcik's Funeral Chapels & Crematorium, 2157 Portage Avenue, Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada 204.897.4665, is in care of arrangements. wojciksfuneralchapel.com
