ELSIE MARY (MOLLY) KUTCHER Molly Kutcher, aged 98, passed away peacefully on December 30, 2014, after a long illness. She was born on November 10, 1916, in Dauphin, Manitoba, to Sidney and Ida Cooper. She is survived by her husband of 74 years, Joe Kutcher; her children Jo-Anne Muldrew (Milton), George, and Richard (Carolyn Swayze); grandchildren Ida, Glyn and Stephen; great-grandchildren Samantha, Richard, Hannah and Katy, and numerous nephews and nieces. She was predeceased by brothers William (Alice) and John. Before marrying Joe, she worked as a telephone operator. Despite being diagnosed with glaucoma early in life, Molly volunteered with Girl Guides, 4-H, the Women's Institute, the Red Cross, the Legion Ladies Auxiliary, Deer Lodge Nursing Home, and Osborne House. During her long life, she was also an accomplished seamstress, knitter and painter, and she lived in numerous locations across Manitoba (Ochre River, Portage La Prairie, McDonald, Thompson, Churchill, Clear Lake, Dauphin and Winnipeg), Saskatchewan (Elrose) and British Columbia (Vancouver, Deep Cove and Prince Rupert). A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, January 10, 2015, at Trinity United Church, 933 Summerside Ave. Reception to follow. Thank you to the caring staff at St. Norbert Personal Care Home for their tireless devotion to the comfort of Molly and her family during her years in care, and especially in her last days. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Alzheimer Society of Manitoba (120 Donald St.) or Trinity United Church (933 Summerside Ave.).
