Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryALAN JAMES TURNER On Tuesday, January 6, 2015, Alan died at Concordia Hospital at the age of 74. Alan will be missed by his wife Nina; children Emmanuel (Angie), Emma (Dave), and Allan (Christy). He will be remembered by his grandchildren Kaitlyn, Connor, Liam, DJ, Jared, Selena and Samara; nieces Marilyn (Dwayne) and Linda (Tom), and nephew Tom. Alan was the son of the late Roy Nelson Turner and Mary Donalda Power. Alan was predeceased by his sister Eileen (Ron). Alan worked at Manitoba Health until 1993. Once retired, Alan enjoyed photography, golfing, travelling, and often spending time with family and friends. Alan also enjoyed taking care of many pets over the years. He was always surrounded with love and laughter. Rest in Peace. To honour and celebrate Alan's life, a mass will be held at St. John XXIII Parish, 3390 Portage Avenue, Winnipeg on Friday, January 9, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. Rev. Father Gerald Langevin presiding. Private interment to follow. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to St. John Enhancement Fund, call 204-832-7175.

Nina and family. We are so very sorry to hear the news of Alan's passing. Although we did not see him often, we always enjoyed our visits and his company. He was always positive and cheerful. Alan had a heart of gold. He will be remembered for his stories and for his wit. He loved his family and friends and pets. We will fondly reminisce of all the times spent together and the great parties he hosted whether at his home or at Clear Lake. He had medical challenges but never dwelt on them and always had an apropos rejoinder even when in the hospital over the years. "The Bored" and their families will truly miss him. His family was his treasure. You were truly an important part of our lives in that we had so many wonderful times that we shared together. We are going to miss you, Al, but you will always hold a special place in our hearts. Our love to Nina and all the family.
