STANISLAW (STANLEY) RUDZKI January 25, 1925 - December 31, 2014 With great sadness and sorrow we announce the passing of our beloved husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather on the morning of December 31, 2014. Left to mourn Stanislaw is his wife of 66 and one half years, Karolina and their daughters Michalina and Janina (Joseph) Majowski. Much loved by Stanislaw, his grandchildren Kathryn (Rene), Eugene (Sabrina) and Francis (friend Stacey), will also mourn their dziadziu. Great-grandchildren Liliana and Joshua will miss their dziadziuniu. Stanislaw is survived by his nephew Stan (Miroslawa) Rudzki and their children Magdalena (Steven) Weber (daughter Olivia), Mathew Rudzki, as well as relatives in Poland. Stanislaw was predeceased by his parents, brother Jan, and sister Maria. Stanislaw was born in Chlopowka, Poland, where he farmed with his father Jozef and brother Jan. In 1944, together with his father and brother, he was conscripted into the Polish Army. They left home together, on the same day, to their Army posting. Thank God that all three survived the war and were demobilized from the Army in 1946. They returned home, but home was now in the western part of Poland. They returned to farming in Szprotawa, Zielona Gora. In 1948, Stanislaw met and married Karolina Dabrus. Two daughters, Michalina and Janina were born to them. In 1965, under the sponsorship of his brother-in-law, Michal Dabrus, the family immigrated to Winnipeg which has been his home since. Stanislaw only had one job in Canada and that was with Motor Coach Industries from which he retired in 1990 after 25 years of service. In his retirement years Stanislaw would go for frequent walks to Garden City Shopping Centre (sometimes three or four times a day) and kept busy in his garage working on various projects he would initiate. Stanislaw has been a faithful and supporting member of Holy Ghost Roman Catholic Church since 1966. Stanislaw chose not to join any Veterans organizations. His memories of his service in the war must have been painful for him as he rarely volunteered any information about his service in the Polish Army. Since 2012, Stanislaw has been a resident of first, the Grace Hospital for a short time and for over two years he has been a resident of the Maples Personal Care Home. We thank the staff, which looked after Stanislaw's needs in such a caring and professional way. May God bless you. Rosary will be held on Saturday, January 10 at 9:30 a.m. at Holy Ghost Roman Catholic Church, 341 Selkirk Ave. with Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. also at the church with an Oblate Father as celebrant. Interment will follow in Holy Ghost Cemetery. Pallbearers will be: Mark Jaworski, Peter Kozak, Eugene Majowski, Francis Majowski, Tevin Poluyko and Peter Suszczynski Wieczny odpoczynek racz mu dac, Panie CROPO FUNERAL CHAPEL 204-586-8044
