  • Betty-Lou came to Winnipeg in July of 1950 to visit Beverley Routley. In early Sept. she met Kevin Best through another friend she had gone to school with in Toronto. Beverley and Keith saw a lot of Betty-Lou and Kevin when they were "dating". Kevin was always telling us how he loved Betty-Lou, but was so concerned over their age differences, that he was worried about marriage. Needless to say, we always encouraged their relationship. They were married in June of 1950. Beverley couldn't be a bridesmaid for Betty-Lou as she was 8 months pregnant. When Beverley was married Betty-Lou couldn't be a bridesmaid for Beverley as she had had a nervous breakdown and was only allowed to go to the church but not the reception. Betty-Lou was married in Beverley's wedding gown. - Posted by: Beverley Routley (Long time friend) on: Jan 10, 2015
