ELIZABETH EPP (nee HARDER) June 13, 1924 - January 8, 2015 It is with a mixture of sadness in our loss and joy in Mom's future with her Lord and Saviour that we announce the peaceful passing of our mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She ended her journey at the age of 90, one week after moving to Donwood Manor after a lengthy hospital stay. She was predeceased by her husband of 53 years Peter (2002); her siblings Nick Harder, Anne Harder, Frank Harder and Mary Remus. She is survived by her brother Ben, brothers and sister-in-law and her children Rick (Maria), Ron (Gisele), Bob, Caroline (Ron) Cataldo, Anita (Ian) Evans and Ken (Charlene). She loved her extended family and adored her 25 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren with a passion that only an Oma would understand. Elizabeth was born in Sargradowka, Russia, and immigrated to Canada in 1926. Her family settled in Niverville, then Petersfield and finally in Winnipeg in 1948. Mom and Dad were married May 29, 1949. Mom faced many obstacles in her life journey which she endured with strength and unwavering faith in her Lord Jesus Christ. We will celebrate her life and share our memories with all who are able to attend her funeral service Monday, January 12, at 10:30 a.m. at North Kildonan Mennonite Brethren Church, 1315 Gateway Street at Springfield Road. Viewing prior to the service at 10:00 a.m. Interment will be held in Graysville Mennonite Church Cemetery at 3:00 p.m. The family wish to express their deepest gratitude to the staff of Concordia Hospital, Irene Barron Supportive Housing and Donwood Manor for their kind and compassionate care. Donations may be made to Mennonite Central Committee Canada, 134 Plaza Drive, Winnipeg.
