Marian was the sister I never had. We had so many good memories over the years when our families were growing up. Many good memories at our cottages at Brereton Lake when visiting back and forth. Enjoyed good times at my parents home with them and our families. We will all miss her. - Posted by: Lorna Zelmer (sister-in-law) on: Mar 21, 2015

Dear Marian welcomed me into her family with open arms and always made me feel comfortable. We enjoyed many Sunday dinners through her graciousness and I will remember her with fondness, hoping that she truly finds eternal peace and rest. RIP Grandma Marian I have a lot of fond memories going to visit my grandma. She was such a kind and loving person who cared deeply about her family. I know she was very proud of all of her grandchildren, and we liked to make her proud. I'm glad she never ended up having to take me to Whitemouth Hospital at the lake, even though she warned us almost every day that's where we were going if we didn't smarten up! Always enjoyed sleepovers and crashing on Grandma's "chesterfield", waking up in the morning to have breakfast and watch cartoons. More recently I enjoyed going to visit her to watch the Blue Jays (one of her true passions). We will always love you G-Ma! - Posted by: Dan Fingler (Grandchild) on: Jan 11, 2015

While saddened by 'Aunt' Marian's passing, I am reminded more of the happy memories I will always be able to keep with me. Marian was a wonderful lady and I always looked forward to seeing her. I remember many good times with family at the Fingler cottage at Brereton Lake. Last summer, before leaving to Denmark for school, I gave Aunt Marian a call to catch up and tell her about my plans. I am so glad that I took the time to connect with her. Relationships can be fleeting, and it is important that we make the best of what we have. Although I am far, far away from Winnipeg, my thoughts are with the many family and friends that mourn her passing. - Posted by: Justin Lacko (Extended family) on: Jan 11, 2015

It was always a joy going over to grandmas place. In my childhood years we would play fun games like sorry, dominos and spill and spell, watch movies, and every time we came for a sleepover she would treat my brother and I to bacon and eggs in the morning (which she made the best. she made delicious food). As a young adult, every time I came over to grandmas I would end up falling asleep on the couch, not because it was boring, but because her place was always just so comforting and warm. Grandma was a very caring and sweet woman. She was very proud of my singing and music accomplishments, and hope to continue to make her proud. Love you grandma! You made my childhood wonderful Love you tons !!! - Posted by: Jane Fingler (Grand daughter ) on: Jan 10, 2015
