BRIAN RUSSELL KNECHT September 28, 1956 - December 31, 2014 With great sadness we have to announce the passing of Brian Russell Knecht. He went in his sleep. He was predeceased by his parents, Theodore (Ted) and Kathleen (Kay) Knecht. Leaving behind brother, William (Bill) and wife Pat Knecht in Alberta, with their family: Kathy and Stuart Pearce of British Columbia, Stephanie Dodds of Alberta, Jackie Dodds of Alberta; a sister, Bonnie, her husband, Jim Baxter with their family: Jim and Lorene Mann-Baxter (with two children Arena and Trooper), and Wade Baxter of Winnipeg. We wish to extend a huge Thank You to all the staff at S.P.I.K.E. Each and everyone there were the reason Brian was able to have a well-rounded and happy life. We are ever so grateful for their loving support. They were more than staff doing a job, they were Brian's family. He loved each and everyone of you in his own special way. Your were all awesome!! Thank You! It would be appreciated, in lieu of flowers, to place donations to a charity of your choice or to Special People in Kildonan East (S.P.I.K.E.), 1940 Henderson Hwy., Winnipeg, MB R2G 4E9. There will be a memorial at 1551 Church Ave. on Friday, January 16, 2015, 1:00 p.m. Interment to follow in the spring.   • I remember Brian's beautiful smile and love of dancing. He was the brightest star in the room and made often sure everyone around him was having as good a time as he was. I have thought of him often during the years and the many times he made me laugh. I know he is at peace and hopefully dancing up a storm!
