MARY LAGAE (nee KARWATSKI) On Friday, January 2, 2015, at the age of 89, our mother, grandmother, great-grandmother peacefully passed away at River East Personal Care Home. She was born on August 5, 1925. Mary leaves to mourn her children Lillian (Keith) Young, Bob (Yvette) Lagae, Ray (Gisele) Lagae, Sharon Cline, and Leo Lagae, and sister-in-law Agnes Kerowatski. She will also be missed by numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nephews and nieces. Mary was predeceased by her husband, Leon Lagae, her parents Anna and John Karwatski, her siblings, Peter, Mike, Eugene, and sister Jean, as well as her special son Corby Jewels (Johnny). For 25 years Mary worked in labour and delivery at St. Boniface Hospital until her retirement. As per her wishes cremation and interment has taken place. Because of the love Mary had for animals donations can be made to the Winnipeg Humane Society. Our family wishes to thank the caring staff at River East.
