FERN ALICIA KRAUSE (nee HALLIDAY) January 7, 2015 With great sadness, Fern's Family announces her passing. Fern leaves Henry Penner, her partner and great love in her life, his family, as well as her brothers, Garth, Barry (Lalita), Darrel (Darlene), and Lance (Audrey). She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. Fern had a profound influence on her family and friends due to her love, loyalty and sense of fun. In her career Fern was a very successful bookkeeper and office manager, retiring 11 years ago but until recently, still doing some part-time work. Her greatest loves were visiting with family and friends, travelling, visiting market gardens and always, camping with Henry at Miller's Campgound in Portage. Although we will feel deep sadness we are also filled with joy and gratitude for the time we had together; the fun times and her love and strength will always provide a beacon for us of life well lived. Special thanks are given to the CancerCare staff at the Health Sciences Centre in Winnipeg for all of their compassionate concern and assistance.

  • I will always remember my cousin. Her and I shared the same second name and birth month. Although there was 10 years difference in our age, we both shared the love for family, especially our moms.
