CLAUDETTE GRENIER Paisiblement avec sa famille à ses côtés au Boundary Trails Health Centre le dimanche 11 Janvier 2015 Claudette Lucienne Grenier est décédée à l'âge de 40 ans. Claudette laisse dans le deuil son fils Michaël, partenaire Scott Vint; ses parents Robert et Irma (Labossière) Grenier; une soeur Line (Scott) Stevenson; deux frères Rhéal, Bernard (Breena), ainsi que ses neveux Nicholas et Alexandre et sa nièce Mya; son grand-père Victor Grenier et de nombreux oncles, tantes, cousins, cousines et amis, amies. Claudette laisse également dans le deuil la famille de Scott. Ses parents Bill et Elaine Vint; ses soeurs Sherryl et Michelle (Mike) Vodon et une nièce Sophie Voden. Claudette est née le 15 Juin 1974 à Swan Lake. Elle a grandi sur la ferme familiale à Saint-Léon. Elle a fréquenté l'école primaire de Saint-Léon et l'école secondaire Notre-Dame-de-Lourdes. Son rêve et sa passion comme elle a grandi était de devenir professeur. Ce rêve fut réalité quand elle a reçu son diplôme avec distinction et fut décernée le prix du Gouverneur Général du Manitoba, conservant la plus haute moyenne en année de certification élémentaire en éducation. En Septembre 1996, elle a débuté sa nouvelle carrière à l'école Somerset en tant que professeur à la maternelle. Elle est ensuite allée enseigner à Saint-Claude. En 2002, à l'âge de 28 ans, elle a été embauchée à titre de directrice à l'Ecole Saint-Léon où elle a enseigné jusqu'à sa fermeture en 2005. Les 10 dernières années de sa carrière ont été consacrées à l'Ecole Lacerte, d'abord comme vice-principal, puis comme administratrice. Il y avait toujours une place spéciale dans son coeur pour ses élèves, leurs parents et ses collègues. Claudette poursuivie ses études et en 2014 elle a reçu sa maîtrise en éducation. Ceci était un énorme accomplissement et le point culminant de sa carrière. Claudette avait une passion pour l'apprentissage, de toujours agrandir ses horizons: apprendre de nouveaux programmes d'étude, se familiariser avec les tâches administratives, cela représente un défi pour moi'' (article parue dans La Liberté). Claudette a également assumé le rôle de directrice du Council of School Leaders . Après avoir obtenu sa maîtrise, Claudette a pris la présidence de l'Association de directeurs et directrices d'écoles franco-manitobaine Michaël, le fils de Claudette, était le centre de son univers et sa plus grande priorité. Rien n'était plus important pour elle que de passer du temps avec lui. Elle était particulièrement reconnaissante pour le temps qu'elle, Scott et Michaël ont passé en séjour à Maui. Ils se sont promenés en motocyclette et tout simplement profité de la vie et du temps ensemble. Maintenant elle sera avec Michaël tout le temps - son propre ange gardien qui prend soin de lui. Claudette aimait le plein air. Dans sa jeunesse, elle a passé de nombreux étés à faire du canotage dessus les lacs du Manitoba avec sa famille. Certains de ses plus beaux et chères souvenirs étaient d'elle et de son père lors de ces voyages. Après que Michaël est né, Claudette a continué cette tradition avec lui, créant encore plus merveilleux souvenirs. Claudette aimait passer du temps avec Scott sur leur ferme à Oakville. Un des plus beaux souvenirs que Scott retiendra à jamais de Claudette était de la regarder, assis sur le perron devant la maison, lorsqu'elle lisait un livre, étudiait, ou faisait des devoirs. Claudette leaves to mourn her passing her son Michaël, partner Scott Vint; her parents Robert and Irma (Labossière) Grenier; one sister Line (Scott) Stevenson; two brothers Rhéal, Bernard (Breena), as well as her nephews Nicholas and Alexandre, her niece Mya; her grandfather Victor Grenier, and numerous uncles, aunts, cousins and friends. Claudette also leaves to mourn Scott's family: his parents Bill and Elaine Vint; his sisters Sherryl and Michelle (Mike) Vodon, and one niece Sophie Voden. Claudette was born on June 15, 1974 in Swan Lake, Manitoba. She was raised on the family farm in Saint-Léon. She attended elementary school in Saint-Léon and high school in Notre-Dame-de-Lourdes. Her dream and passion as she was growing up was to become a teacher. This dream came through when she received her diploma with distinction at the College Universitaire Saint-Boniface and also received the Governor General of Manitoba Award in Elementary Education. In September 1996 she started her new career in Somerset as a kindergarten teacher and then moved on to teach in Saint-Claude. In 2002, at the age of 28, she was hired as principal at the Saint-Léon School where she taught until its closure in 2005. The last 10 years of her career were spent at Ecole Lacerte, first as Vice-Principal and then as Administrator. There was always a special place in her heart for her students, their parents and her colleagues. Claudette further pursued her education and in 2014 she received her Masters in Education. This was an enormous accomplishment and the highlight of her career. Claudette also assumed the role of Director of the Council of School Leaders of Manitoba. After obtaining her Masters Degree, Claudette accepted the position of President for the Association de directeurs et directrices d'écoles franco-manitobaine. Claudette's son 'Mick'' was the center of her universe and her number one priority. Nothing was more important to her than to spend time with him. She was especially thankful for the time that she, Scott and Mick had spent in Maui, riding motorcycles and just enjoying life and spending time together. Now she will be with him all the time - his very own guardian angel looking over his shoulder and taking care of him. Claudette loved the outdoors. In her youth she spent many summers canoeing the lakes of Manitoba with her family. Some of her fondest and most cherished memories were of her and her father on these trips. After Mick was born, she continued this tradition with him, creating even more wonderful memories. Claudette loved spending time with Scott on their farm in Oakville. One of Scott's fondest memories of Claudette was to watch her, sitting on the front porch, reading a book, studying, doing homework. This will forever be engraved in his memory. Claudette's favourite saying was everything happens for a reason''. Funeral services will be held in the St. Leon Roman Catholic Church on Saturday, January 17, 2015. Memorial services at 1:00 p.m. followed by Funeral Mass at 1:30 p.m. with Father Armand Le Gal officiating.
