DARLENE MARY KLYM (nee GILL) 1957 - 2015 It is with heavy hearts and profound sadness that we announce the passing of Darlene Mary Klym. Darlene passed away peacefully, with her loving husband Eugene by her side, at the Seven Oaks Hospital on January 11, 2015 following a brief illness. Darlene is survived by her husband Eugene Klym, mother Stella (Steffie) Gill, mother-in-law Rose Klym, beloved dog Rusty, as well as many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. She was predeceased by her father Walter Gill, and brother Russell Gill. Darlene was born on September 10, 1957 in Winnipeg, MB and was raised in Transcona. Darlene met the love of her life Eugene while they worked together at Bonar & Bemis. After a whirlwind romance they finally tied the knot on her birthday 31 years ago. Darlene was more than a wife; she was Eugene's soul mate. She stood by him through thick and thin. Darlene loved to garden, cook, and entertain. She always made sure there was an abundance of food and believed in the saying "the more the merrier". She was famous for her dill pickles and always made sure that the McFarlane sisters and Dave Zinyk were well supplied. Darlene loved to shop for purses, shoes and jewelry always coming home to tell Eugene that it was a deal she just couldn't pass up! Darlene cherished her friends and family. She enjoyed many good times with her friends in the cul de sac, especially Madison and Chloe Cobb. Darlene was kind-hearted, generous, caring, and loving and she will be missed by all. Thank you to the staff at LA Dance Academy for your support. Darlene enjoyed working with you all. Thank you to Dr. Wilson and staff for your care over the years. A memorial service for Darlene will be held on Saturday, January 24, 2015 at 10:30 a.m. at Wheeler Funeral Home, 1800 Day St., Winnipeg, MB. Father Carl Tarnopolski officiating. Flowers are gratefully declined. Funeral Arrangements in Care of Wheeler Funeral Home, Cemetery & Crematorium 1800 Day Street 204-224-1525
