Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryEFIGENIA (EFIE) PEREZ VILLANUEVA On January 10, 2015 we lost our beloved mother, grandmother and great-grandmother Efie. Born in Leyte, Philippines on October 14, 1926, she was the oldest of five siblings to Servando and Macaria Perez. She survived her late husband Sinfory Villanueva Sr. Efie lived an accomplished life. In 1950 she graduated from Mapua Institute of Technology with a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering and was one of the few women engineers of her time. Efie also lived a life filled with love surrounded by family and friends. She is survived by children: Sinfory Jr. (Agnes), Laurence (Liza), Eugene (Maricel), Amabelle (Donato), grandchildren: James, Kristin (Johnny), Mark, Liane, Marion, Paul, Miguel, Simon, Ruth, and great-grandchildren: Kaiden and Lucas. Thank you to all our family and friends for their love and support during the last few years of Nanay Efie's life. Nanay looked forward to our Sunday visits and special occasions we spent together. A big thank you as well to all staff at Riverview for their patience and care of our dear "Nanay". There will be a mass service in memory of Efie at Mary Mother of the Church, 85 Kirkbridge Drive on Friday, January 16 at 11:00 a.m. Reception to follow at the Church hall.

She was everyone's mother on the first International Mapua Alumni Gala Night in Toronto in 2000. She was the second oldest alumni of that night beaten by her former instructor.
