DOUG WIEBE Doug Wiebe, of Morris, passed away at the Morris General Hospital on Wednesday, January 14, 2015 at the age of 68 years. He leaves behind his brother Jeff and wife Kathy; niece Jordyn; stepmom Yvette Evans; the Havers and Evans families; aunt Helen DeFehr; and all his Wiebe cousins. He was predeceased by his parents John and Finnie, and Papa Ron. If friends so desire, donations in Doug's memory may be made to Red River Valley Palliative Care, Box 477; or Morris Branch No. 111, Royal Canadian Legion, Box 641; both in Morris, MB R0G1K0. Digger was a man of simple tastes and rituals; pick up the paper, noon hour at (Colonial) Santa Lucia, doing his stats , then listening to his tunes in the back yard and watching his garden grow. The highlight of his life was the birth of his niece Jordyn. In true Digger fashion we will raise a glass in his memory on Saturday, January 17, 2015 at noon, at Santa Lucia in Morris. We will inter his cremated remains this summer in the Morris Cemetery. We would like to thank the nursing staff at Morris General Hospital for their compassionate care of Doug, and to Digger's and our friends for your support through this time. Arrangements Entrusted to: Morris Funeral Home 204-746-2451

Jeff, Kathy, Jordyn and family. Shirley and I offer our deepest sympathies with the passing of Doug. I remember he brought my Mom a flower on her birthday every year as they shared the same birthday. A tribute to his kindness. Everyone's memories will keep his spirit alive. I will raise a glass in his memory on Saturday as well. - Posted by: Jim Ito (friend) on: Jan 18, 2015
