Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryPEGGY MARSHALL (nee EDITH MARGARET GLOVER) March 30, 1920 - January 10, 2015 With sadness, we announce the peaceful passing of our dear mother, grandmother and great-grandmother on Saturday, January 10, 2015 at the age of 94. Peggy was predeceased by her brother, Jack Glover, her sister, Pat Riley, and by her beloved husband, Jim in 1994. Remaining to cherish her memory are her children, Louise Marshall, Maureen Monson (Ron) and Georgia Lebtag (John); grandchildren, Rob Monson, Mary Amadeo (Ryan), James Monson (Coral), Andrea Butterworth (Dan), Mark Lebtag and Dieter Lebtag; great-grandchildren, Sophie, Ava (and their mother, Lisa), Ben, Grace, Matthew and David, as well as many cherished nieces and nephews. Peggy was born on March 30, 1920 in Norwood, the youngest of three children. She met a young pharmacist named Jim on a blind date and they were married on April 5, 1941. In the early years of their marriage, Peggy was a homemaker and also helped with the running of their drugstore. Her interests included art, painting, sewing and all crafts, as well as nature, music and gardening, and she was involved for many years in the UCW group at Fort Garry United Church and the Pharmacists' Auxiliary, as well as the Fort Garry Palette Club. Peggy and Jim were married for 53 years. They shared a love of travel and were fortunate to go on many vacations together. Mom stressed the importance of faith and family, and was especially caring of her daughter Louise; she wanted us to serve and look after one another, and we are so thankful for all that she taught us. The family is grateful to the staff at Pembina Place Personal Care Home for their kindness and consideration. Cremation has taken place and a private memorial service will take place at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to a charity of your choice.
