JACK WALLACE With broken hearts and great sadness we announce the unexpected passing of Jack Wallace on December 13, 2014 in White Rock, BC by the ocean that he loved, with family and friends by his side. Jack was 62 years young. Jack was born and raised in Silver Heights, Winnipeg. Growing up, he spent many great summers at Grand Beach in his family's cottage. Following his father's footsteps, he entered the printing industry and worked his way up to Head Press Operator at Stovels Advocate Press (LGM). Jack decided to change career focus to sales, and it was not long before it was apparent that Jack had found his calling. He quickly moved his way to one of the top sales position. Furthering his career, he moved to Vancouver in June, 1981 with LGM, onto to Ronald's Printing and eventually moved on to join Teldon Print Media as a Salesman. He built their commercial print business and again moved up to one of the top sales people taking on the roles of Production Manager and Sales Manager along the way. Shortly after moving to Vancouver, in September, 1981, Jack lost his Mother (Pearl Wallace), whom he adored. Jack was a fun, extremely humorous and adventurous person. The comical stories that were told about his escapades with his friends, will be told for years to come. His laugh was genuine and made everybody want to laugh. He had a kind heart and led people with his charismatic and endearing nature. He had many great characteristics including integrity (never hating or lying were important to Jack) and helping people. Jack loved golfing, boating, fishing, tennis, hockey, horse racing, cooking and gardening, but his biggest love was his family. His heart and pride and joy were for his two sons, Jack (Jr) and Sean. His strong love for his boys was beyond measure. In May, 2005, Jack lost his father (Jack Wallace Sr.), his best friend and biggest supporter, his confidant and the soul mate of his youth. A few years ago, Jack lost his way and became sick. He died with dignity, grace and his usual humour, creating even more stories to be told. It is impossible to say goodbye to Jack we simply say Safe travels My Friend, we will see you later. Upon Jack's wishes, he has been cremated. A memorial service and tribute to Jack's life will be held from 2:00 - 4:00 p.m. on Saturday, February 21, 2015 at 10 Kuypers Lane, Headingley, Manitoba. Reverend Robert Humble will be officiating. All who knew Jack are welcome to attend. In lieu of flowers and donations, in honour of Jack and his illness, please take a moment to help someone along the way. • Our friendship began in the mid 70's at Stovels in Winnipeg. Jack was a high spirited competitor on the company ping pong table which always included lots of laughs. Years later in Vancouver, Les and I enjoyed Jack's company socially on many occasions. He had a fun loving attitude and perpetual energy. He was easy to like. He was a generous host. Jack and Jill often opened their home to a group of friends after a golf game. We will always remember the many good times we shared. God bless you Jack and our condolences to your family. - Posted by: Tom and Les Stevenson (Friend) on: Feb 05, 2015

  • I met Jack when I just turned 18. It definitely was love at first sight, I was a moth to the flame. We Married 2 years later and moved to BC together in 1981. We stayed together for 11 years, there was always Love. We both moved on, remarried and had 2 children each. Always staying in touch over the last 30 years, we never stopped caring. He was a force of nature, that smile, that laugh, that personality. He was a very special part of my youth and my life. There will always be Love. • Warm condolences and big hugs to Jill, Jack (Jr.) and Sean. Your dad was a very special and kind hearted man. He brought so much light, fun and comedy to a room. His laughter was absolutely contagious. He was a friend of my dad's and I have many fond memories of him while growing up. One of course being his infamous impersonation of Donald Duck! He will be missed. Take very good care of yourselves. - Posted by: Renee Aldus (McClelland) (Friend) on: Jan 19, 2015
