ANN DOUGLAS PEGGIE (nee FORBES) February 12, 1925 - January 14, 2015 With heavy hearts we announce the passing of Ann Peggie on Wednesday, January 14, 2015 at Deer Lodge Centre. Ann will be lovingly remembered by her daughters Barbara Gudmundson and Joanne (Ron) Borger; sisters-in-law Betty Dry and Laura Forbes; as well as her nieces, nephews and extended family. Ann was predeceased by her husband of 63 years, Robert (Bob); her parents T.D. and Gertrude; her brother-in-law Jack Dry; her brother William Forbes, and her son-in-law Brian Gudmundson. Mom was born in Riverhurst Saskatchewan. She met Dad while working for CP Rail in Moose Jaw. Mom and Dad lived in many places across the prairies and treasured the special friendships they made over the years. Mom grew up with a golf club in her hand and was a member at Elmhurst Golf and Country Club for many years. Mom enjoyed their travels, especially their winters in Palm Springs. When Mom wasn't golfing, she could usually be found sewing, knitting, crocheting or reading a good book. Most important to Mom was her best friend and love of her life, Bob and her daughters. Mom's passing marks a wonderful life that we will treasure with fond memories of her beautiful smile and sparkling brown eyes. As per Mom's wishes, cremation has taken place and a memorial service will be held at a later date. The family would like to extend our deepest, most heartfelt thanks to all the staff at Deer Lodge Centre for their compassionate care, especially those on Lodge 7 where Mom resided. You truly were her guardian angels. If friends wish, please join us in making a donation to Deer Lodge Centre or to a charity of your choice. A mother's heart is a special place where children have a home. THOMSON IN THE PARK 204-925-1120 Condolences may be sent to www.thomsoninthepark.com
