EDWIN CHARLES FREEMAN May 19, 1955 January 16, 2015 It is with heavy hearts that we announce the sudden passing of our father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother and uncle Chuck at the age of 59, with his family by his side on January 16. Chuck was predeceased by his loving wife Linda, his mother Sylvia, his father Robert and his brother Bill. Chuck is survived by his daughters Terry (Kevin) and Melody (Jason); son Robert (Krystal); granddaughters Kelly (Justin), Jessica (Brighton) and Mickayla; great-grandchildren Jack; brothers George (Laurie), Doug (Sherri) and Reg; sisters Karen, Deb (Detlef), Julie, Helen and Roberta (Paul); sisters-in-law Darall (Earl) and Marilyn as well as numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and countless friends. Chuck worked at several jobs throughout his life but his most memorable were at Will's Taxi and Jim Gauthier Chev, where he worked as a mechanic for 26 years and developed lifelong friendships. Chuck was best known for his quick wit, sense of humor and pranks. He loved his crib games, going for coffee, fishing and his computer. He was our trouble shooter, whether it was over the phone or in person, he was always willing to lend a helping hand. He was a devoted husband, who has been mourning Linda's loss since they were separated eight years ago. He was a loving father who would do anything for his children and grandchildren. He was even our strength and source of laughter until the very end. The family sends out a special thank you to Dr. Gingerich, the team of doctors, and especially the nursing staff of E6 at St. Boniface Hospital, for their kindness and support during his stay. Forever loved and missed, until we meet again. A celebration of his life will be held on Saturday, January 24, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. in the Gilbart Funeral Chapel in Selkirk. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to a local charity of choice in Selkirk. Gilbart Funeral Home, Selkirk in care of arrangements. www.gilbartfuneralhome.com
