Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryJULIA GIESBRECHT Silently in her sleep with her most precious family members at her side Julia Giesbrecht passed in early hours of January 17, 2015 at home, at the age of 73 years. She is survived by her husband Frank Giesbrecht, two sons Edwin and Alvin and one daughter Shelley Giesbrecht and grandson Tristin Giesbrecht. "Julie" was truly the social butterfly loved by anyone who met her. She loved people and conversation and worked at several careers from her younger years until she passed with her last career being her longest lasting a span of 25 years working in home care. She enjoyed oil painting, traveling to exotic places like Barbados, Mexico and Jamaica plus gardening, dancing and country music. In her own words "life is to short, live each day like it is your last, do not dwell on the past, no one is promised tomorrow." Because her personality could light up any darkness possible; we know she is in the brightest possible place creating happiness wherever she goes. Cremation has taken place and a celebration of Julie's life will be held at Seasons Funeral Chapel, 576 Balsam Crescent, Oakbank, MB on Saturday, January 24 2015 at 2:00 p.m.
