BETTY MARSH Betty Marsh, November 26, 1916 - January 16, 2015, 98 years of age passed away peacefully at Three Links Manor in Kelowna, BC. Betty was much loved by her family and the vast array of friends whose lives she touched. She is survived by her sons, Vic (Kelowna) and Ron (Edmonton), daughter-in-law, Maureen (Wirth), and grandchildren, Christine and Greg (Edmonton), niece Barbara/Lanny (Lawrence KA), nephew David/Amy (Brea CA), cousin Julian/Liz (UK) and by many others who loved her and claimed her as their own. Betty was predeceased by; her eldest son, Peter and her husband, Tom, both in 1995, and her sister Joan in 2000. Born and raised in Winnipeg, Betty and the family moved to Kelowna following the flood of the Red River the spring of 1951. Betty was both a dedicated parishioner and member of the Altar Guild of The Cathedral Church of St. Michael & All Angels in downtown Kelowna and member of The Order Of The Eastern Star. Betty enjoyed a lifelong association with the Girl Guides of Canada, retiring in 1960 as Commissioner for Girl Guides in the Okanagan, and continued to serve afterwards as a member of the Silver Tips Trefoil Guild. Betty danced with Kelowna's Scottish Country Dancers and was a supporter of Kelowna's Multicultural Society. Betty loved animals, and for many years was actively involved with the Kelowna Branch of the SPCA. A memorial service and reception will be held April 18, 2015, 2:00 p.m. at The Cathedral Church of St. Michael & All Angels.
