MARIE PATEK (nee MARUSCHAK) Peacefully on January 16, 2015, Marie Patek passed away at St. Boniface Hospital. Marie was born January 21, 1924 in Senkiw, Manitoba to parents Ann and Michael Maruschak. She will be lovingly missed and remembered by daughter Sharon (Doug) Bell and son Edward (Susan); three grandchildren, Jeff Bell (Kristy Adams), Lindsey (Jason) Benoit and Mark (Shauna) Patek; four great-grandchildren Kate and Carson Benoit and Francesca and John Patek; her siblings Peter (Mary) Maruschak, Bill (Anne) Maruschak and Iris (Rev. Michael) Kopchuk as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Marie was predeceased by her husband Frank in 2001 after 59 years of marriage as well as her brother John. Over the years Marie's days were spent travelling with her husband, league bowling at Roxy Lanes, enjoying bus trips to Club Regent and Grand Forks, making perogies that were loved by all and spending time with her many friends. Most of all she will be remembered for her heartwarming smile and laugh and her dedication to her family. In accordance with Marie's wishes, cremation has taken place. Interment at Glen Eden Cemetery will take place at a later date. Flowers are gratefully declined. Should friends so desire, donations may be made in her memory to a charity of their choice.
