Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryJEANNETTE LAFOND (née VALCOURT) August 29, 1924 - January 15, 2015 It is with much sadness that we said goodbye on January 15, 2015 to our beautiful mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, Jeannette Lafond (née Valcourt) who left us very peacefully at the age of 89 years at the Red River Valley Lodge in Morris, MB. Jeannette was predeceased by her loving and devoted husband of 66 years, Nestor Lafond. She leaves to cherish her memory her seven children: Lucette (Derek Lavallée), Denis (Monique Alarie), Noella, Normand (Anne-Marie Lapointe), Monique (Roger Lavallée), Rachelle (Robert Tessier) and Gérald (Maryse Bouchard). Memère will always be lovingly remembered by her 16 grandchildren: Suzanne (Jeff) Richter, Christiane Bérard (Devin Szadorski), Joel Lafond (Kim Gulas), Kevin (Chantelle Clusiault) Lafond, Darrell (Lori Dustan) Lafond, Daniel (Jaylin McCullagh) Cormier, Brigitte (Tom) Hildebrand, Yan and Maya Lafond, Robert (Mélanie Sabourin) Lavallée, Richard (Renée Mellor) Lavallée, Christine (Jason) Bourcier, Janelle (Ryan Peary), Derek Tessier, Melanie Wattam and Sheldon (Elly Loewen) Lafond. Also mourning her passing are 26 great-grandchildren, two brothers: Roger Valcourt and Claude (Evelyn) Valcourt and two sisters-in-law, Noella Lafond (née Marion) and Joyce (Carpenter) Valcourt. We would like to thank the wonderful and dedicated staff of the Red River Valley Lodge for the excellent care, absolute kindness and never-failing attention they provided to our Mother as well as the compassion shown toward us. Funeral mass will be held on Saturday, January 31, 2015 at 2:00 p.m. in the Roman Catholic Church in Saint-Jean-Baptiste MB with Father François-Xavier Lutumba and Father Gilbert Gariepy co-officiating. The Eulogy and PowerPoint presentation will take place at 1:30. Inurnment will take place in the parish cemetery following the funeral service.
