Joyce was predeceased by her husband Armand; mother and father Lillian and Andrew Hanson; sisters Ruth Harris (Art) and Martha Warburton (Bert). Joyce was a great lover of people and listening to their stories. She was an active community member as represented by her participation in community hockey and baseball leagues and her work in the hospitality industry. She loved music and on her final day was seen keeping the beat to her favourite songs which played forever in her thoughts. The Funeral Mass will be held on Wednesday, January 28, 2015 at 1:00 p.m. at the St. Claude Roman Catholic Church, followed by interment in the St. Claude Cemetery. As expressions of sympathy, if friends so wish, donations may be made in Joyce's memory to the Alzheimer Society of Manitoba, Box 119 204 Main Street Winkler, MB R6W 4A4. A tree will be planted in memory and cared for by McKenzies Portage Funeral Chapel. 204-857-4021 www.mckenziesportagefuneralchapel.com
