Annie was born in Lanigan, Saskatchewan, October 5, 1927 to Stephan and Mary Skorlatowski. She grew up on the family farm. She married Walter Gerylo, June 28, 1947 moving to Walkleyburg, MB thus beginning a union of 41 years. Their marriage was blessed with two children, Leonard and Randy, eventually followed by further blessings of four grandchildren. I spent many a day and meals throughout my high school years at Randy's mother and father's home. She was a very loving mother treated me with kindness. Both of Randy's parents taught me how to enjoy life. Randy's dad taught me to fish and camp and his mother the love of food. I was always welcome in their home. I never got the opportunity to thank them both for showing me life. I'm very sorry for your Loss Randy. So sorry to hear of Annie's passing. Remembering Annie cooking in kitchen at the farm or tending her garden or getting supper early so she and Walter could run off to their bingo game somewhere. Annie was a very kind, caring, loving person. I gave Annie and Walter a Chihuahua dog years ago who loved Walter so much. Was also Annie's protecter after Walter passed. Annie was always smiling and happy to see people. So sorry to the families of Leonard and Randy for your loss. A great lady will be missed by all. - Posted by: Donna Toews(Sveinson) (old friend) on: Jan 28, 2015
