ARTHUR DESMARAIS January 19, 1937 - January 24, 2015 Peacefully Art passed away on Saturday, January 24, 2015 in St-Malo, Manitoba. Art will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by his wife Yvonne, of 53 years; his daughter Collette (Guy Bruneau); his sons Roger (Gale) and Richard (Phyllis); one granddaughter, 10 grandsons and nine great-grandchildren; sisters Denise (Chuck), Louise (Danny) and Lucille. Art was predeceased by his son René, and parents Rose and Paul. His passion of driving Semi brought him all over North America. After retiring he still enjoyed travelling the country with his wife Yvonne and his dog CoCo. He also loved quadding and partying with family and friends. The funeral service will be held Friday, January 30, 2015 at 1:00 p.m. at the St-Malo Catholic Church with inurnment to follow at a later date. The family wishes to thank the St. Pierre Ambulance Services, St. Pierre R.C.M.P., Morris Funeral Home and friends. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Heart & Stroke Foundation of Manitoba. Arrangements Entrusted to: Morris Funeral Home 204-746-2451

  • My condolences to the Desmarais family. Our parents were good friends and I got to know Art in St. Jean. We had many adventures sneaking cigarettes and smoking down by the river.
