My brother, my best friend growing up, sometimes my worst enemy. We took turns getting each other in trouble and he would often do things and blame them on me..... Mom and Dad knew better LOL He masterminded running away. He was in charge of the food and I got together the blankets and sleeping bags. The plan came to a screeching halt when all Pat packed were canned food and we didn't have a can opener. We used to swim at this beautiful blue "pool" outside Stony Mountain.... until we found out it was a water treatment facility. Then we switched to a gravel pit.... until I stepped on a beer bottle and sliced my foot open and had to ride my bike home over a mile. His friends became my friends, Arnie,Lyle and Don, Mike and Doug etc and my friends became his friends, Brian and Mark etc. We had some awesome parties after snowmobiling. He decided that I should rebuild a Chevy Nova so then he had to teach me about cars... dual overhead cams, Hurst shifters, Hush Thrush mufflers, Posi-trac rear ends and button tuft dashboards. He made me learn how to do the brake shoes and drums. I can say that every thing I know about cars I learned from Pat. I remember going up to Gimli to see the race car they built. And then life got in the way and we lost touch with other. When we saw each other again it was as though no time had passed. He was still the same laid back guy he always was. He reminded me so much of Dad. I will always be grateful to the companionship he provided Dad in his last years. Rest in peace Pat and give dad and Del a hug for me. Until we meet again. - Posted by: Sandi Duval (Sister) on: Jan 31, 2015

Pat and I worked in the assembly shop at Boeing for many years. Such an easy and free going man. With no prejudice toward anyone. Always will to lend a hand were possible and always goes beyond the call of duty. Pat and I went down to Seattle on many assembly type trip. Great friend to hang around with. Especially being so far away from home for an extended time. Rest in peace my friend. - Posted by: Les Latkovich (Work friend) on: Jan 30, 2015

I'm in shock at the sudden passing of Pat who I considered a friend not just a co-worker. We had recent conversations about our retirement plans in Panama. We looked forward to our retirement years away from our cold winters. I will try to fulfill those dreams we talked about. I will always remember you Pat, my thoughts are with you and your family. I will be thinking of our talks in the days to come in Cancun. - Posted by: Kelvin Dow (Friend) on: Jan 30, 2015

So sorry for your loss. Every time he came to visit his dad at the lodge he was always smiling, happy go lucky. He was a very down to earth person. He will be missed. Hugs and prayers for your family. - Posted by: alisa nowell (friend) on: Jan 29, 2015

Worked with Pat on and off over the past 29 years at Boeing, the last time was in 757 WTBF, Ducts, 767 FWD and AFT Fairings in 2004. Always a pleasant and friendly person with a smile on his face. He will surely be missed by those that worked with and knew him. To his family my deepest sympathy for your loss. - Posted by: James Jenson (Coworker) on: Jan 28, 2015

Memories, well Pat had a love for cars - fast cars - but he drove a smart car hahaha. When I met Pat he had a sweet 69 or 70 Challenger then he sold it to a buddy of ours haha, did not look so sweet after that. He loved to read about hot cars so there were five of us that put a dragster together. Him and I worked at the same place, I worked nights he worked days well back in the day. Pat did not like to work haha, he would go to work park his car look at the sun and say off to the beach or park for the day get home all red and mom and dad would say hard day at work today, Pat and he would say yup. If it was a nice day the next day he would do it again. There were a group of us that were together all the time, we all had nick names Pat/Relic, me they called me burnt, Brian/brain, Barry/Bear, Danny/Gorilla and Rick/pin and there were many more. I married Pat's sister Adele, she would say are you marred to me or Pat. Then Pat meet Ginny and the kids and got married, he even got a job at Boeing and he went to work every day and then some. All I can say is we all have great memories of you Pat, you will always be in my head. Give Adele and your Dad a hug till we meet again Pat. I haven't seen Pat for a good many years ... but have many fond memories of going to the pool in Rutland, playing tag and having fun as kids on one of their trips out west to visit us. Time passes too quickly... he will be missed. - Posted by: DAWN GIBSON & FAMILY (COUSIN) on: Jan 28, 2015

I spent many of my childhood days in Morris spending time at his and his wife's video shop, and he always was very much a father figure to me and so many other children in Morris. He helped teach me to drive and spent hours listening to me as a troubled teen talk about my problems. Over 20 years later I still have so many great childhood memories of this man and always will. His kind heart and generous spirit will be remembered by many. Thanks Pat for everything you did for me that helped me become the man I am today. Heaven has now got an amazing angel. God bless you and your family. Till we meet again my friend. - Posted by: Shawn Bellefontaine ( friend) on: Jan 28, 2015
