Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryKATHLEEN OUTHOUSE (KRUL) 1931 - 2015 Kathy Outhouse, aged 83, passed away on January 17, 2015 in Fredericton, New Brunswick. Kathy and her twin sister Isabel were born on April 2, 1931 in Emerson Manitoba to Dymtro and Nettie Krul (nee Godomski). She attended school in Emerson and after finishing high school started employment with Manitoba Telephone System. Along with her sister Margaret and others, she manned the switchboard in the Town of Morris during the Red River flood of 1950. The operators stayed at the job until high waters forced their evacuation to Winnipeg. The operators all received a Certificate of Merit For loyal and faithful service under trying conditions during the flood period in 1950. Kathy graduated from nursing at St. Boniface Hospital and took a nursing position at Emerson Hospital before joining Trans Canada Airlines as a stewardess. Kathy enjoyed skiing, golf, sewing and needlepoint. Kathy married Del Outhouse in 1962 and Del's work took them to Ste Catherines, Calgary and Fredericton where they spent their retirement years. Kathy is survived by sisters, Doris Ross, Rose Rogers and Millie Bayliss, brother-in-law Don Campbell and sisterin-law Nancy Turner. She is predeceased by her husband Delbert Outhouse in 1996, sisters, Helen Bondi, Ann Pretty, Polly Gordon, Isabel Campbell and Margaret Kelner, brother, Bill Turner, brothers-in-law Lawrence Bayliss, Carl Bondi, Bill Pretty, Frank Rogers, Dave Kelner and Glen Gordon. Cremation has taken place. Kathy will be interred beside her husband, Del, in the Forest Hill Cemetery, Fredericton, NB. Rest in Peace, Dear Kathy
