So many great things to say. A wonderful person and the best Granny ever. She used to take me and my sisters to the park for as long as we wanted or until it was time for lunch/dinner. She was always cooking up something delicious and I would look forward to our Sunday dinners. She had 3 big gardens and would let us raid the rhubarb any time we liked. She taught me 31 and we would play for dimes. I lost a lot of dimes to her but hardly any to other people. She taught me well. She was always kind, even when we didn't deserve it. She's my Granny and we all love and miss her very much. - Posted by: John Harrison (Grandson) on: Feb 20, 2015

Our thoughts are with the family at this time. Such a wonderful person. Your parents were fun neighbors and your Mom was an excellent baker. Our kids loved their Auntie Winnie. Can never forget how she was the envy of the Belgian Club bingo's. She won a lot. Beautiful and kind person. She will be missed. - Posted by: Jim and Lou Daeninck (Friends) on: Feb 14, 2015

I have fond memories of spending time with Aunt Win and Uncle Bill, both at their home on Mission Street in Winnipeg but mostly at the cottage at Big Whiteshell. There was always an over abundance of good food and laughter. I remember Aunt Win and Uncle Bill coming out to Anola to visit with Grandpa and Nan. Aunt Win was working at Eatons Catalogue Centre at the time and she was wearing a red ski jacket that I expressed interest in. She took the jacket off her back and gave it to me! I have no idea what she wore home! An amazing lady and a great inspiration. My mother used to take my sister and I into Winnipeg on the GWWD train during school vacations. We would get off at the train station on Plinquet and Dawson Road, then head over to Uncle Bill and Aunt Win's to stay over. Great times! And great memories!
