Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryRUTH MOORE It is with great sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of Ruth Moore (nee Jones), at Rotary Towers, Gimli, MB, on Sunday, February 8, 2015 at 85 years of age. Ruth was born on September 18, 1929 to Albert and Elizabeth (nee Tibnam) Jones at Humboldt, SK. Ruth spent her childhood on the family farm in the Pilger district moving to Saskatoon and then Winnipeg to train as a licensed practical nurse. In 1959, Ruth married Gordon Moore and took up permanent residence in Winnipeg where they resided until 1994 when they relocated to Gimli, MB. Ruth was a supportive wife, a loving mother and a caregiver who looked after countless sick and elderly in hospitals and nursing homes throughout Winnipeg. She was also a fighter, simultaneously taking on both colon cancer and rheumatoid arthritis for over 15 years. Ruth is survived by her husband of 55 years, Gordon Moore; sons Bruce Moore and David (Tari) Moore and their sons, Matthew and Michael. She was predeceased by her sister Muriel Gaudreau (nee Jones); father, Albert Jones (1980); mother, Elizabeth Jones (1967); and one brother in infancy. In keeping with her wishes cremation has taken place. A private family memorial service for Ruth will be held. In lieu of flowers, if friends so desire, donations can be made to Canadian Cancer Society, 193 Sherbrook Street, Winnipeg, MB R3C 2B7, phone 204-774-7483.
