  • I grew up in Charleswood, where Gord and his family lived. I went to school with Maxine and had a severe crush for years on Gord and then he became a groomsman at Dave Shaw's and my wedding. • Gord and I were great friends who spent many a day and evening freezing our feet with the kids on the ice at L.R. I'm sure we helped some of them a bit. Jean and your Mom had their portable kiosk (car trunk )with goodies so the kids didn't have to run to the store. Our families spent many an hour visiting and enjoying each others company.Gary that house party you mentioned will be attended by all. They are certainly in a big enough house now.Our condolences Gary to you and all your relatives and families. Sandy and his family send condolences as well. Take care young man, we are thinking of you. - Posted by: ken peters ( family freind) on: Feb 14, 2015

  • I'm very sorry to hear of Gord's passing! I have very fond memories of Gord, in my early yrs. Growing up in Lord Roberts. He was a good friend of my dad's, who we lost at a young age. Gord, was always positive, upbeat and quick to give me encouragement, which helped me immensely in my teenage yrs. He was a strong supporter of the community center and gave his time as a coach and mentor. RIP Gord... Al Jones - Posted by: Al Jones (friend) on: Feb 14, 2015
