Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryDAVE THOMAS LANGFORD November 13, 1951 - February 10, 2015 We lost our beloved husband, dad, papa, brother, uncle and friend at the age of 63 when he left us to be with his Lord and Saviour. Suddenly on Tuesday morning, Dave Langford passed away at his home. Dave was predeceased by his mother Dorthy Langford. He is survived by his wife Doreen; two children Sandi and Shawn (Courtney); two grandchildren Danica and Erica; sisters Debbie (Louis), Darlene (Jim), Sharon (Chris) and also his sisters-in-law Carol (Helmut), Dale (Mark), and numerous nephews and nieces. Dave was born in Moncton, NB. He worked as a painter for CN rail for 19 years and continued his passion until his retirement. Dave was kind and a gentle man who loved his family dearly but his pride and joy were his granddaughters. He was the man who would give you the shirt off his back and never asked for anything in return. Dave touched the lives of many people and will greatly be missed by all. A celebration of his life will be held at Gilbart Funeral Home, 309 Eveline St., Selkirk, MB, on Monday, February 16, 2015 with viewing at 1:00 p.m. followed by the service at 2:00 p.m. Gilbart Funeral Home, Selkirk in care of arrangements. www.gilbartfuneralhome.com

I have known the Langford's for over twenty years. I had the good fortune to play hockey with Shawn for many years and during that time I got to know the Langford family very well. Mr. Langford was a great Dad, and a great person. He always had a smile on his face and something nice to say. It was always easy to see that he was very proud of his kids when we were young and later as we are now adults. The last time I saw Dave was at his granddaughter's birthday, again it was easy to see he was pretty excited to be a grandpa. Leaf nation has lost a great fan, our thoughts and prayers are with the Langford family at this difficult time. The Purcell family. - Posted by: Jason Purcell (Friend of the family) on: Feb 14, 2015
