LIONEL JOSEPH ANDRE BOUCHARD January 22, 1924 - February 14, 2015 We regret to announce the passing of Lionel Bouchard on February 14, 2015 at Deer Lodge Hospital. Surviving him are his children Leona Bouchard, Marlene Legare, Helene Johnson (Douglas), Lynda Staub (Robert), Claire Demery, Andre Bouchard (Angela), Jerry Bouchard (Sheila) and Doreen Bouchard. He was predeceased by Jeannette (former wife), and daughter Beatrice Chabot (Andre) (Margaret). He is survived by 25 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren. Surviving him is brother Joe (Rose) and sisters Eva (Fillion) and Peggy Keough. Predeceasing Lionel are his parents, Aime Bouchard and Germaine (Bouvier), his brothers, Paul (Denise), Jules (Deanna) (Margaret), Pierre (Irene), Roger (Mary), and sisters Madeleine Fillion and Jeanne (Philip) Jeanson. Lionel worked for 32 years on road maintenance in the R.M. of Cartier and then an additional two years in the R.M. of St. Francois. He received several awards for most improved roads in the Province and won the Manitoba Good Road Association trophy. He also operated a mixed farm of grain and livestock. Thank you to the Deer Lodge staff and all his caring friends. Eulogies will be held at St. Paul the Apostle Roman Catholic Church, 2400 Portage Avenue on Thursday, February 19, 2015 at 10:15 a.m., followed by Funeral Mass at 10:30 a.m. with Rev. Father Jose Eduardo Medeiros celebrating and Rev. Father John Legitimas con-celebrating, with reception to follow. Inurnment will take place at the Blessed Sacrament Parish in Elie after the reception. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Blessed Sacrament Parish, Box 144, Elie, MB R0H 0H0 for the cemetery fund.
