DORIS BAZAN October 14, 1923 February 18, 2015 Peacefully, on Wednesday, February 18, 2015, at the Selkirk General Hospital, Doris Bazan, aged 91 years, passed away. Doris was born in Gonor, Manitoba, where she lived her entire life in the family home. At the age of 18, Doris served three years in the Canadian Military, stationed in Alberta. She held a variety of jobs in the Winnipeg and Selkirk area until she retired at the age 65. She travelled extensively with friends throughout North America, and enjoyed visiting her most recent destination, South Beach Casino. Doris was predeceased by her parents, five brothers and five sisters. She is survived by sisters Rose Klym and Eva Klym; sister-in-law Anne Bazan; three generations of nieces and nephews and their families. Thank you to all of the Home Care workers who helped care for Doris over the last 21 years. Thank you also to the doctors and staff at the Selkirk General Hospital for their care and Paramedic Roland Fontaine, who rescued her twice. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Heart & Stroke Foundation, 6 Donald St., Winnipeg, MB R3L 0K6 would be appreciated.
