Always knew Allen of "Uncle Allen", brother to my Mom. He was an awesome uncle. When growing up, I & We (my brother) always looked forward to spending time with him and his brothers. All of his brothers. While growing up and hitting that point of manhood, Allen made that point of being there, as did all my uncles.. maybe to teach us a few lessons of manhood. We all took a trip up to North Manitoba up Northwards of Grand Rapids M.B.. We also travelled through the interiors of B.C. around 100 Mile house and all over the interior and everywhere. With Allen and his brothers Gary, Todd & Brad were always there, to teach us a few lessons. I remember that night and other nights we all spent together. I learnt alot of my lessons while travelling with Allen and his brothers. I believe that was the last trip we all took together as a team other then B.C. We all went through B.C. together. It was the first time I had been through that country and I really hoped it was not the last time.. Same with my brother and cousin'.. We had never seen places like this before.. This was before 100 mile house.. My cousin, adept to the treatings of 100 mile house, this better not be the last.. We spent that last summer touring his pad in Burnaby which was deluxe and the spent time looking for the next pad in West Van Area which was interesting.. He found a place which I thought was interesting, but yeah.. good luck getting the others to agree.. After that, it was pretty much the last time I thought that I would see that side of my family.. My uncles.. Gary, Todd, Allen and Brad!! ..that country was and is probably still one of the most beautiful I've ever seen. Welcome to Beautiful British Columbia, Canada Long story short! I have no regrets about my family. Each of my Uncles taught me a lesson or numerous lessons I needed to learn. The only regret I have is their time is not not long enough to teach me more.. /us more... - Posted by: Shayne Franco (Nephew) on: Apr 07, 2020

So sorry to hear of Allen's passing. He was best man at my wedding, and Uncle to the kids. He had a kind heart, and a laugh that could make your day. Matthew and Kaitlin have fond memories of his kindness and generosity. We were able to visit him in Vancouver or at our home on Vancouver Island. We will miss him. God Speed Allen. - Posted by: Wendy Monkman (friend) on: Mar 03, 2015
