GURBAX SINGH March 24, 1924 - February 28, 2015 It is with great sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of our beloved father, grandfather and great-grandfather Gurbax Singh at Parkview Place in Winnipeg, on February 28, 2015. Gurbax survived his late wife, Parsin Kaur. He will be lovingly remembered by his son Satbir Singh (Kamaljit) and daughter Satnam Kaur Duggal (late Ravinder) and his grandchildren: Monika, Rosie (Amar), Kulwant, Narinder and Jasbir; and his great-grandchildren: Vinay and Sanjay. Gurbax was born on March 24, 1924 in Lahore, Pakistan and immigrated to Winnipeg in 1984 with his son Satbir. Gurbax was an experienced tailor of Indian clothing and he serviced the community with his exceptional tailoring skills. In 1995 he suffered a stroke but due to his dedicated nature and strong will, he was able to make a remarkable recovery. He was a loving and caring father and grandfather, with an especially close bond with his granddaughter Narinder. She was very blessed to have her maternal grandfather in her life. He will be sadly missed by all his family, especially his son Satbir who cared for him throughout his life. Prayer services will be held at Guru Nanak Darbar Gurdwara at 900 McLeod Avenue beginning on Friday, March 6, 2015 at 10:00 a.m. Funeral Service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, March 8, 2015 at Thomson "In the Park" Funeral Home, 1291 McGillivray Boulevard.
