LYNN MARIE PAULHUS (nee ANDERSON) Our family is deeply saddened by the passing of Lynn Paulhus, who left us with tears and prayers at her bedside, peacefully, embracing her father's hand, on March 7, 2015. She was predeceased by her mother Eileen Anderson, grandparents Olaf and Helen Olson and her Auntie Merie Olson. She is survived by her loving husband of 25 years, Brett Paulhus, whom she called her hero. Also, her father Robert Anderson (Maria), sister Deanne Irwin (Tom), brother Gary Anderson (Lisa), nephews David, Robert and Jordan Heavysege, also by many in-laws. She will be sadly missed by aunts, uncles, and cousins, many life time friends and co-workers. She was born in Winnipeg, January 4, 1960 and raised in Ft. Garry, attended Ralph Maybank, Pembina Crest and Vincent Massey High School. Professionally, Lynn had a successful career as a corporate collector for over 30 years, with Agri-Finance, Bank of Montreal and Assiniboine Credit Union. Lynn will be remembered mostly for her love of travel and sense of adventure. Lynn was also a fitness enthusiast and loved working out for many years. Lynn enjoyed gardening and her yard, especially her ability to grow awesome geraniums. Plant some pink geraniums this spring in her memory. She will be sadly missed by her three nephews whom she loved very much and was so proud of. Our lives have been emptied of the dynamic, vivacious person that Lynn was. Her quick wit and sense of humour kept us laughing and on our toes. She was the spice in our life! A Memorial Service will be held on Thursday, March 12, 2015 at 2:00 p.m. at Thomson "In the Park" Funeral Home, 1291 McGillivray Boulevard. Thank you to the family & friends that visited and supported Lynn through her difficult journey. Thank you to the Oncology team at HSC/CancerCare and the Victoria Hospital Buhler Centre, her family physician, Dr. Sheldon Permack and pharmacists Jack and Albert at Rexall PharmaSave St. Vital. A special Thank You to all the staff at the St. Boniface Hospital Palliative Care unit who were so compassionate in caring for our dear Lynn. Your kindness was most appreciated. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation in Lynn's memory, to the St. Boniface Hospital, Palliative Care Endowment Fund, 409 Tache Ave, Room C1026, Winnipeg, MB, R2H 2A6. • Even if we lived in two different countries, Canada and England (previously Norway) we had the greatest connection - we felt like sisters, so much alike in most ways. We did not get to see each other that often but had the best holiday together in Jamaica last April. The last few months we also spoke on the phone weekly, lots of good stories and good laughs, it was just like we were next door to each other. Lynn was such a lovely, lively girl and full of enthusiasm. She once took me to the fun fare where she made me try everything. She convinced the drivers of the different carousels to run them extra long - she just loved it - I ended up pretty green in my face and nearly sick. It is so difficult to understand that we will never talk again nor meet. Rest in peace Lynn - my "sista" - I loved you so much. - Posted by: Unni Henning (Lynn was my second cousin.) on: Mar 10, 2015

  • My sincere sympathy to all of Lynn's family. Lynn's beautiful smile, her gorgeous big brown eyes, her sense of humor and her courage will be remembered always. A beautiful angel that left us, far too soon. She was blessed with a strong and loving family who never left her side. Again, my sympathy to her family especially her father, Bob, who has suffered this pain of loss a second time. It's so hard to try and be strong. Lynn has a place in my heart forever. - Posted by: Doreen Buss (Aunt, by heart) on: Mar 10, 2015

  • I went to high school with Lynn at Vincent Massey. I own Splash Dash tours boats at the Forks, Lynn worked across the street at Assiniboine Credit union.
