ALICE SHACHTAY (nee VALLEY) October 4, 1928 March 10, 2015 It is with heavy hearts we announce the passing of Alice our wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother on the morning of March 10 at the age of 86. Left to cherish her memory is her husband of 55 years John; daughter-in-law Shirley Boily; daughter Evelyn Mikolash (Jack); step sons Victor and Alvin (Christine) Shachtay; 17 grandchildren; 14 great grandchildren and many family and friends. She was predeceased by her first husband Denis Boily; daughter Florence (Bill) Belmore; sons Richard, Denis and Mel Boily. Funeral service will be held on Tuesday March 17, 2015 at 2:00 p.m. at Gilbart Funeral Chapel Selkirk, Manitoba Interment to be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Alice's memory to Cancer Care Manitoba, 675 McDermot Ave, Winnipeg, MB, R3E 0V9. When someone you love becomes a memory, the memory becomes a treasure.
