Born: Jan 16, 1920
Date of Passing: Mar 11, 2015
Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryELSIE MAY PARISIAN (nee MCINTYRE) Elsie died peacefully on March 11, 2015 at the Red River Place in Selkirk, MB. At the age of 95 years. Left to cherish her memory are her children; Raymond, Melvin (Cheryl), Sandra (Kevin), Victor William (Barb), Janet (Nick), Robert, Tom, Mack (Edie); grandchildren, Meagan, Aaron, Debbie, Bob, Daniel, Paul, Hannah, Bailie, Matthew and Jennifer; four great-grandchildren; sister Merle; brothers Ken and Ray and many other family and friends. She was predeceased by her children Deborah and Kenneth; her parents; her husband Victor; sister Margie; brothers-in-law Howard, Fred, and George and sister-in-law Jean. Mama was born on January 16, 1920 and grew up in the farming communities of La Rivière, Argyle, and Stonewall, working with her Dad and sister on the family farm. In 1947, she went to Lochaber, NS to help her sister Merle who was raising a young family. Mama loved Lochaber and all the friends she came to know. In 1948, she came to Victoria Beach to work at the Pine Hurst Inn. It was here where she met our Dad, Victor. In December 1949, they were married and began raising their family, living and working in Victoria Beach. She continued to live in the house on Pine Road until 2013, before moving to Red River Place in Selkirk. Mama was a strong, hard working woman, cleaning cottages, working on the mink ranch and raking lawns. She loved working in her garden, watching her game shows, bowling in Pine Falls, and of course, cheering for her Bombers. Her love of sports and her competitive spirit lives on in her children and grandchildren. As one of Jehovah's Witnesses, she firmly believed God's promise of a paradise that will put an end to suffering of sickness and death. She found comfort in the belief of a time when "God will wipe out every tear from our eyes and death will be no more" (Rev. 21-3-4). Thanks to the staff at Red River Place and the Home Care workers in Victoria Beach for their kind and compassionate care of our Mother. They provided special moments during her stay. A memorial service to celebrate her life will be held on Friday, March 27, 2015 at 1:00 p.m, Victoria Beach Senior's Scene, Ateah Road, Victoria Beach, MB . If friends would like to honour her memory, donations can be made to the Victoria Beach Sport Centre or a charity of your choice. I'm so sorry to hear about your mother's passing. She must have encouraged you children to achieve. Makes me remember Kenneth (Chink) the greatest hockey player in V.B. She must have been behind him. I never understood what happened on that boat with the boom. Again our condolences. Garry Sinclair - Posted by: Garry SInclair (friend) on: Mar 25, 2015

We got to know Elsie when Mom and Elsie became roommates at Red River Place. We enjoyed watching movies, the Blue Bombers and Jets games together. Elsie sure knew her sports teams. We always appreciated how happy and friendly Elsie was every time we came to visit Mom. We will miss her Our condolences to Elsie's family The Stewart family - Posted by: The Stewart Family (Elsie and Mom (Margaret) were Room Mates at Red River Place) on: Mar 21, 2015
