ANGELINA (ANGIE) ANANIA August 26, 1954 - March 16, 2015 It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Angelina (Angie) Anania, on Monday, March 16, 2015 at the Victoria General Hospital with her family by her side. Angie was born on August 26, 1954, in Amato, Italy, and immigrated to Canada at the age of two. She was predeceased by her father Giuseppe in 1999. She is survived by her mother Maria Anania, her children, daughters Carolynn Petrillo, Melissa McEvoy (Kevin), and son Rinaldo Petrillo (Jillian); grandchildren Catriana, Declan and Natalia; brother Joe Anania (Adriana), sister Mary Pesce (Tony), as well as several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. Angie's life wasn't about how many material possessions she could obtain, her biggest and proudest accomplishment were her three grandchildren. Spoiling them and letting them know how much she loved them was all the satisfaction she needed. Anyone who had the pleasure of knowing her would know she had a heart of gold. We invite all who knew and loved her to join us in celebrating Angie's life on Monday, March 23, 2015. Condolences at 10:00 a.m. with Mass of the Resurrection at 11:00 a.m. at Holy Rosary Roman Catholic Church, 510 River Ave., Father Sam Argenziano celebrant. Pallbearers will be her nephews Joey Anania and Anthony Pesce, son-in-law Kevin McEvoy and cousins Joe Anania, Agostino Mauro and Bernie Scarpino. She was always such a kind person, I met her many times over the years in the area and she always stopped to talk to me & ask how Zi was doing. - Posted by: Marjorie Miller (Friend) on: Apr 05, 2015

  • To my close friend Angie, to all the good times we shared, times I'll always treasure. You were always in my heart and in my thoughts the last few years. I'm so sad you're gone and just can't believe it. I wish I could have been there to talk to you one more time. I will never forget our talk at the dollar store the last time I saw you. To Carolyn, Melissa and Ronnie. Your mom loved you all so much, you meant everything to her. My deepest condolences to the three of you and to Mary and Tony, and to the Anania family. • I'm sorry to hear she has passed away, I haven't seen her for many years, which is sad we all live in the same city and don't see each other like we should! So much family and no time to visit them while alive. We all have busy lives with our own families! I did see her about 2 months ago at her Mom's home and we had a nice conversation that day. I enjoyed seeing her that day and her Mom, my Aunt, Zia Maria. My condolences to the rest of her family. - Posted by: Angie Elliott (First cousin ) on: Mar 22, 2015
