Condolences & Memories (5 entries)

  • Aunt Minnie was a legend! Heard many stories from her sister, my Aunt Ruby, stories about how darling Minnie was. She will be so very missed. Thinking of the family, especially sister Ruby at this time. - Posted by: Maggie (Thiessen) Boyko (Family Friend) on: Mar 25, 2015

  • Aunt Minnie was the ultimate example of selfless Christianity. She loved people and served God simultaneously. We will all miss her caring and remembering love. ♡ - Posted by: MaryJane Chapman (niece) on: Mar 25, 2015

  • Aunt Minnie was the best. She took time to remember every one of her 40+ nieces and nephews birthdays. It was always such a treat when she came to visit. She always brought aplets and cotlets, sweets that will always remind me of her. When I went to visit her in Philadelphia she took the time to show me around New York and introduce me to a new world. She was such an interesting person. Such a giving person. She had a knack of making you feel special. I wish I had had the time to visit her more in the last days, I always loved to talk with her. - Posted by: Patricia Braun (Niece) on: Mar 25, 2015

  • My dearest Aunt Minnie always made me feel like I was #1 in her world. For my graduation gift she took me to see Yul Brynner in the "King and I" in Philadelphia and she took me to New York City! She never forgot my birthday or anybody's birthday. Memories of her will always be warm and close to my heart. - Posted by: Rose Yurkiw (Niece) on: Mar 24, 2015

  • Great Aunt Minnie will always be remembered for her countless acts of kindness and sense of adventure! Ever since I can remember her birthday cards were top notch. She never forgot anyone's birthday! When you received her card it was so neat because she made sure to "tailor" the card to suit the receiver. Her house in Reston was the coolest place I have ever been! She really made one feel comfortable and at ease in her home. I have the newspaper article on my fridge from her 100th birthday. This article only gives a glimpse into the amazing and adventurous life she lead. I wish I could express properly how very dear she was and still is to all of us! Rest in everlasting peace Taunte Minne xoxoxo - Posted by: Terra Harel (Great niece ) on: Mar 24, 2015
