Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemorySTANLEY WALTER FELKOWSKY It is with great sadness the family announces the passing of Stanley Felkowsky on Sunday, March 22, 2015 at the St. Boniface Hospital at the age of 88 years. Stan was born on September 14, 1926 in San Jose, California, and moved to Saskatchewan with his family in 1927. In 1946, at the age of 20, Stan moved to Winnipeg and worked several jobs throughout his life, from a bellboy at the Royal Alexander Hotel to a salesman for McCormick's, Henderson Directories and Killarney Printing. Even though family wanted him to retire he kept working to age 85. Stan was a family man and spent his spare time with family and friends. In his youth he played junior hockey in Saskatchewan, he also enjoyed golf and curling. As he aged, his love for sports continued, as a spectator and he loved watching all of his favourite sports on television. Dad was an avid bird watcher, his favourite being the wren. Stan enjoyed his time with the "A&W Coffee Club" and went daily to meet with his friends, have coffee, tell stories and discuss the topics of the day. Stan was predeceased by his parents, James and Ann, brothers, Orest and Michael, his loving wife of 59 years, Iris, and his son, Ward. Dad will be lovingly remembered by his daughter, Gail Plantje, granddaughter, Dru (Marc), great-grandson, Alex (Keleigh) and sister, Elsie (Frank) Chuchmuch. The family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to the doctors, nurses and staff of 5E of St. Boniface Hospital for the care and compassion given to Stan and our family. In keeping with Stan's wishes, cremation has taken place and a memorial service celebrating his life will be held on Friday, March 27, 2015 at 2:00 p.m. in the Coutu Funeral Chapel, 680 Archibald Street. Sorry to become aware of the passing of Stan. I was a close friend to his sister Elsie so many years ago and have not spoken to Stan since 2013. Stan was always fun to talk to even if just by phone. A man of character and spirit. My condolences to Elsie and family. - Posted by: DaveJardine (Aquaintance) on: Sep 13, 2018

Condolences to you, Gail. I remember you, your mom and your dad. I remember your dad working for McCormicks and his giving out small samples of candy from time to time. My memory of him is that he was a kind and quiet man. I'm sure you're going to miss him. - Posted by: Chris Suderman (nee Schulz) (former neighbor) on: Mar 25, 2015
