Condolences & Memories (10 entries)

  • RIP Daryl... Couldn't believe this terrible news was true. We have many good memories from High School to snowmobiling to the 59'r to see ya. Sure opens all our eyes to how short life can be. Take care my friend... - Posted by: Corey Chizick (Friend) on: Apr 04, 2015

  • Daryl was known as the gentle giant, he was one of the bigger kids in school and he used his stature to look out for the little ones when the bullies came around whether at school or on the school bus. His parents and sisters should be proud of the man that he grew up to become. I will remember his kindness, wit, and his hearty laugh. Happy Trails my friend. - Posted by: Brent Polson (Friend) on: Apr 01, 2015

  • Daryl you had a special gift in engaging with people and the story telling was like watching a movie unfold, you made it come alive. It was always a pleasure to sit and visit. We are fortunate to have known YOU and shared many moments of laughter and some moments that tie us even closer. The memories and the laughter will live on. - Posted by: Kimi (Friend) on: Mar 28, 2015

  • Our deepest sympathy to all the family. We lived in the same area as Daryl and his family and got to know him when he was only very young. I do remember he was the only boy with a lot of girls around but somehow he was a very caring person and would keep a look out for them, and just reading Daryl's notice of life he had never changed being that caring person. Lorraine, Cheryl, Michelle and families keep your memories close to your hearts <3 Adeline and Wilf Armstrong and family - Posted by: adeline armstrong (friend ) on: Mar 28, 2015

  • Our deepest sympathy to the family. Knew your father/mother and uncle Harold. Too young to go. - Posted by: lynne and martin skiba (friends) on: Mar 28, 2015

  • R.I.P. our dear friend. No we will not say goodbye as we will meet again. I enjoyed our lunch date and our talks. It was my turn to pay. Daryl your heart was huge and your family was the most important thing to you. I know you and Karly did a great job on co parenting. You wanted to make sure of that and you both did. I know how much you missed your dad (RON) and how things were taking a toll on you. You never gave up though. I remember the kindness towards our kids and when our kids got the kids together and got a toboggan and went out to get food and help for another person for Xmas. They had to much and they knew were to go, yes they said lets get Daryl and Ron and their trucks. It was a great experience for all the kids. I know how our dog kept getting out and always chasing you and only you. Sorry about that LOL!! Misty is up in heaven so be careful. To the entire family our deepest condolences and our thoughts and prayers are with you forever. We are here for you all. Dad and Pops are up in heaven building things and will be watching over all of you. Hugs to all.
