CYNTHIA LEE NICHOLSON (nee ANDERSON) January 29, 1952 - March 25, 2015 It is with deep sorrow that we say good-bye to a wonderful wife, mother, sister, daughter, and most importantly grandmother who passed away suddenly on March 25, 2015 at the Victoria General Hospital in Winnipeg. Predeceased by her father, Cliff Anderson, Cindy is survived by her loving husband of 43 years, Bruce, her daughter Tara (Scott), son Stephen (Diane), her four grandchildren, Adrianna, Kade, Reid, and baby Sarah, her mother Laurine, and her two sisters Val and Judy (Larry). Born in Winnipeg, Cindy attended Vincent Massey High School before beginning her 30 year career at Great West Life. Her all too brief retirement was spent with Bruce in the Gimli area on the shores of Lake Winnipeg. A humble person, Cindy was a lovingly strong rock when it came to navigating life's unexpected challenges. Always amazed by their Mom's positive spirit and strength of character, Tara and Stephen would like all to know how blessed they were to have Cindy for a Mother. Family was everything to Cindy, she always went out of her way to ensure family occasions were truly special. She cherished her children and grandchildren, as they were her inspiration. A kind and gentle soul, she will be profoundly missed by all those whose lives she touched. A private celebration of Cindy's life will take place with immediate family. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Cindy's memory to the Manitoba FireFighters Burn Fund. The family sincerely thanks all staff at the Victoria General Hospital and Buhler Cancer Centre who cared for Cindy in her final weeks.
