ALIKI VLAHAKOS February 17, 1943 - March 27, 2015 With saddened hearts we announce the passing of our beloved Aliki. Our precious Aliki passed away peacefully in the morning hours of March 27, 2015 at the Vista Park Lodge, with her daughter Gene by her side. Her soul is in peace and is being reunited with her husband Peter and sons, James, George I and George II. Aliki touched our hearts in a manner that cannot be expressed by words; she will be sadly missed by her daughter Gene Vlahakos; sisters; Maria (Stavros) Damianakos, Helen (Nick) Livadaris, and Antonia (Periklis) Dalianis; brother, Demetrios (Victoria) Andreakos; sister-in-law Panagiotia (Paul) Gianakoulas and brother-in-law Gus Daminakos; the Petrides family and many other cousins, nieces, nephews and friends. Funeral will be held on Wednesday, April 1, 2015 at 1:00 p.m. at St. Demetrios Greek Orthodox Church, 2255 Grant Ave. followed by interment in Brookside Cemetery, and a reception at St. Demetrios Church.   • So sorry for the loss of your mother. We got to know her the year that Helen and Nick lived with Yianni in Gimli. We drove her home a few times and brought Helen in to Winnipeg many times for a visit. She was such a nice lady. It was nice getting to know her. Hopefully, she is at peace and no longer in pain.
