SIDNEY FURNICE Sidney Furnice passed away on March 31, 2015 at Oakview Personal Care Centre, just a few days short of his 97th birthday. He was predeceased by his wife Lily, his brother Alec, and his mother and father. Uncle Sid, as he was affectionately known was a man of great patience and kindness, having married in to a loving Italian family of five sisters and one brother, (Scinocca). He loved his cabin at Winnipeg Beach and his older car collection, which endured his love of duct tape over the years. Uncle Sid was also a cartoonist, and loved to sketch portraits of family members and then surprise them with a welcome gift of a labour of love. A private interment has taken place at Assumption Cemetery. A thank you to all the staff at Oakview Personal Care Centre for all their compassion over these last few years. www.seasonsfunerals.ca

Sid was truly a sweetheart and a great guy. He also worked for Greb footwear for over 30 years. I miss those Sundays drinking warm Pilsner in his basement. Good times! - Posted by: B.James (Nephew) on: Apr 04, 2015
