EDWARD BODMAN July 24, 1920 - January 10, 2015 It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Edward Bodman on January 10, 2015. As tears were shed while saying goodbyes, hearts were filled with happiness that Ed had begun his journey home where he would be reunited with the love of his life Florence, and his precious daughter Trudy whom he missed so much, as well as many family members and friends that have passed before him. Left to enjoy the many memories made in Ed's 94 years are his daughter June Hornung (Alvin) and their children, Debbie Chiborak (Curtis), David Hornung (Allison) and Christine Hornung. His son-in-law Frank Reimer (Noreen Scott), and Frank and Trudy's children, Tim Reimer (Karen), Sheri Hartwig (Erich). His son Don Bodman (Terry) and his children, Ryan Bodman (Maylia) and Tyler Bodman (Kayla). As well as many great-grandchildren, and nieces and nephews including Louise Yallits (Richard) who always had a special place in "Uncle Eddy's" heart. Ed served his country as an ambulance attendant during the Second World War and was always willing to share his stories with all who would listen. He thankfully returned home and continued to work until retirement for CN in Winnipeg. Ed loved his cards and crib games, as well as his bowling league days, and of course his army pals, but what made him most happy was his family. Ed would spend countless hours helping Florence prep meals for his entire family every Sunday through the winter months, and loved spending time sharing stories around the fire at West Hawk Lake, his second home during the summer months. A celebration to honour Ed's life will be held on Sunday, April 19, 2015 at St. Joseph's Club, 1476 Main Street, Winnipeg. Please join us to share stories and memories of Edward anytime between 1:00 p.m. and 4:00 pm.
