I have such happy memories of Frieda - she was so loving and caring. I remember when my mom (Carole LaRiviere) and I would go to her house for coffee. I was not even tall enough to see over the table and Frieda would always have a little juice glass full of Pepsi for me she knew my mom wouldn't let me have any. I met her when my mom worked at Chateau Lanes with her, I guess I was only 3. I loved going to her house just to sit at the kitchen table and listen to her speak. She had such a kind voice and the love in her heart I will never forget. My husband was in the Military and we moved away from Winnipeg back in 2004, I had not seen her since then. My husband Jake thought she was a wonderful lady. My daughter Jessica told me yesterday that she remembers going to her house when she was little - and Frieda giving her cookies. My son Nicholas was too young to remember. She still remembers from when she was only 2 or 3.
